Subject registration can be so unknowingly fun. Today was the last subject registration day of mua undergrad life! =D
So powering on just 3 hours of sleep, I went to the library at an ungodly 9am in the morning with Soo Lim. I’m only taking 3 modules this semester and all of them major Prescribed Elective (YEAY to a HAPPY and FREE semester, WOOHOO) that are very popular. Since the library computer is the fastest and most accurately sync to the server time, I didn’t register back in my room.
So how it goes is you wait for your personalized registration time usually either 9.30 or 1.30 and at the stroke of the second hitting the 9.30.00, you click on the Add Course button like no body’s business.
Well but you see I bet the people who man the system thought it would be funnier to have everyone doing that for a couple of hours. They used to release all the slots at the stroke of allowable time BUT since last semester, they figured why not spice things up a little by releasing them bit by bit.
Last semester I had to register for 7 modules in my room and I only managed to get 3 at at the first go! THE HORROR! so for the next 2 hours I was like a complete idiot clicking Add Course button like crazy, owh and well dont feel bad.. we get to click the refresh button too for every 5 seconds cause the page would expire and you cant click any button WTF.
So today me and Soo Lim thought since we’re at the LIBRARY and we’re only taking 3 modules, wont be so bad right? WRONG! We only managed to get one subject at one go and the other two, history repeats itself again as we click away relentlessly. Thankfully it lasted for only half an hour before we could add the other two.
So there you go, my last course registration =D
Bye bye stupid system.
